Silliman University (SU) serves as a regional partner for Visayas of the European Union (EU) Delegation to the Philippines in extending the reach of the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2022, to be done both offline and online on November 18-19, 2022.
Through the EHEF, the EU promotes quality higher education and sustainable partnership opportunities with Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs).
With the theme “Youth for Excellence and Innovation,” the fair provides access to information and fosters partnerships between European and Filipino HEIs to the benefit of students, academicians and researchers.
The fair will be conducted in a hybrid setting, which means it will both be held online and offline at Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong.
Aside from country presentations and European HEI representatives, alumni and scholars will conduct briefing sessions, structured seminars/webinars on higher education and mobility opportunities and programme offerings.
A networking event will also take place on November 18 at 7:30 PM, at Shangri-La Plaza.
Partners
Aside from SU, other university partners that serve as regional hubs for the EHEF include Wesleyan University; the University of Cordilleras; Ateneo de Manila University European Studies Programme; De La Salle University; Holy Cross of Davao College; Mabalacat City Colleges, Rizal Technological University; Trinity University of Asia; University of Sto Tomas; and Visayas State University.
The EU aims to share best practices and approaches from its many outstanding universities and HEIs with their Philippine counterparts.
The partnerships also aim to enhance student and faculty mobility, research collaboration, joint scientific activities, curricular enhancement, and policy formulation.
Opportunities for mobility and research grants like Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, and Jean Monnet are open for students and educators alike.
The fair is organized by the EU Delegation to the Philippines together with the EU Member States’ Embassies, education services, and Cultural Institutes and in collaboration with the Commission on Higher Education.
Media partners this year include Adobo Magazine, CNN Philippines, iOrbit News, Philippine Daily Inquirer – INQPOP!, ThePhilBizNews, and When in Manila.
Faculty, academicians, researchers, and students can now register at http://www.ehefphilippines.com to participate in the fair.
