In the spirit of patriotism, the entire academic community of Ukrida gathered to commemorate the 78th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day.
The love for one’s country can start by loving smaller circles, such as family or work environment. Embracing this spirit of love for the nation, the entire academic community of Ukrida held a ceremony to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the campus grounds of Ukrida. The ceremony was presided over by Rector Ukrida, Dr. dr. Wani Devita Gunardi, Sp. MK(K), with Albert Saputra Zebua, a student of the 2020 Informatics Program, entrusted as the Parade Commander. In attendance at the ceremony were Dr. Dra. Mina Sulastri, M.S., the Executive Director of YPTK Krida Wacana; Dr. Oktavia, S.E., M.S.Ak., the Vice Rector II; and Denni Boy Saragih, SKM., M. Div., M.Th., Ph.D., the Vice Rector III.
The rector of Ukrida, in her address, reminded everyone to continue striving to achieve Ukrida’s vision, which is to become a leading institution in national and international higher education, based on Christian values. She emphasized the importance of upholding the LEAD values as the culture of Ukrida. She also encouraged the community to view this year’s Independence Day celebration as an ongoing endeavor to realize Ukrida as a campus of change and leadership. Following the ceremony, a series of enthusiastic competitions were held, participated in by both staff and students. As one of the top Christian campuses in Indonesia, Ukrida continues its efforts to make a tangible impact on the nation and the country through its various educational initiatives.
