About the Author: Fr. Dr. Robert KISALA currently serves as the 8th President of Nanzan University. Robert Kisala, graduated from Divine Word College, earned an M.A. in Theology from the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry at the Catholic Theological Union, and then Masters and Doctoral degrees in Literature from the University of Tokyo. In 1985, Kisala was ordained as a priest and in 1995 he began teaching at Nanzan University, becoming its president in April 2020. Since his presidency, having proposed the key phrase “global concern, our contribution”, he has promoted active help for those who suffer to overcome hardships and striving towards the development of future scholarship and education at the university. He has served in a range of positions within the Society of the Divine Word in Japan and worldwide such as provincial superior, admonitor, and vice superior general.

About the Author: Dr. Min-Hsun Liao has taught in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at Tunghai for 20 years. She is currently a chief intentional officer committed to promoting international mobility and cross-cultural exchanges. Her research interests include incorporating virtual exchange for teacher training and language development, using virtual reality to cultivate learner agency, and exploring the role of language in international students’ adaptation. As a licensed Zumba instructor, she also enjoys choreographing movements incorporating Christian songs. Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

About the Author: Rev. Hung Tse currently serves as Chaplain of Hong Kong Baptist University. Rev. Tse is an alum of HKBU, then he received his Master Degree in Public Administration at Ohio University, and his Master of Divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, New York. In response to his calling to full-time ministry, Rev. Tse moved to the US and served in a Christian organization headquartered in New York City for many years. Rev. Tse returned to Hong Kong in 2018 and joined HKBU to serve as Chaplain of the University in 2019.

He has served as the Rector of Universitas Kristen Indonesia from 2018-2022. He is also selected to be the Rector in his second period leading Universitas Kristen Indonesia from 2022-2026.

About the Author: Dr. Kwang-Sup Lee currently serves as the President of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia (ACUCA). He obtained his doctoral degree in Polymer Chemistry from Freiburg University, Germany. Dr. Lee served as senior research scientist at Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology from 1987 to 1992 and as director of Brain Korea 21 Center for BT-IT Hybrid Nanomaterials from 2006 to 2014. Dr. Lee is currently the President of Hannam University in Daejeon, South Korea.

About the Author: Dr. Christianna Singh, the Principal of Lady Doak College is also a former United Board Scholar & Fellow and an economist par excellence with her area of specialization on Gender Economics. Beyond her scholarly purviews, she extends her talents and expertise in areas like music and technology. She contributes both as a vocal-trainer and as a violinist.
